The importance of changing the oil of the excavator engine on time!

Publication Date: 2020-03-17
Why should the oil of the excavator engine be changed on time?
1. Motor oil has a shelf life. If it is used for a long time, it will reduce performance and cause the wear of mechanical wear parts to accelerate.
2. The engine oil undergoes high temperature operation in the engine, its physical and chemical properties will change, and its mechanical properties will change accordingly.
3. If the engine runs for a long time, the impurities in the oil will increase, which will increase the wear rate of mechanical parts.

What are the serious consequences of not changing the oil on time?
1. Failure to change the oil on time will cause a malfunction of low oil pressure. The most direct consequence of too low oil pressure is that it will cause semi-dry friction or dry friction between various mating parts, the engine will now have obvious abnormal noise, and in severe cases, it will also cause the bush to burn.
Tile burning phenomenon
If the oil is not changed on time, the following problems will occur:
Too little oil storage, resulting in no or little oil in the lubrication system;
Dirty or viscous oil causes the oil pump to fail to suck and pump out the oil effectively;
Lean oil or thin oil due to high engine temperature will leak from the gaps between the friction pairs of the engine.

2. Failure to change the oil on time will also cause the problem of excessive oil pressure. Too high oil pressure will cause premature damage to the gasoline filter, causing carbon deposits in the engine cylinder and other faults. It will also reduce the life of the engine.
Carbon deposit in the cylinder
If the oil is not changed on time, the following problems will occur:
Oil viscosity is too high (such as winter oil is not replaced with summer oil in a timely manner);
Deterioration and gelation of engine oil results in reduced engine fluidity;
Filter element or oil passage is blocked

3. Failure to change engine oil on time will also cause excessive sludge problems. The sludge is generally due to the high-pressure unburned gases, acids, moisture, sulfur and nitrogen oxides in the combustion chamber, which enter the crankcase oil through the gap between the piston ring and the cylinder wall, and then mix with the metal powder generated by the wear of the parts. Together, it slowly accumulates and then forms sludge.
Too much sludge
Failure to change engine oil on time will result in increased sludge, which in turn will lead to blockage of filters and oil holes, which will cause difficulty in engine lubrication and increase engine wear.

4. If the oil is not changed on time, the most serious consequence is the wear of various mechanical parts of the engine, such as pistons and cylinders. Once there is a problem with the piston and cylinder, the machine needs to be overhauled, and overhaul is something that every owner does not want to see.
Heavy cylinder wear
Lack of engine oil, too much sludge in engine oil, and deterioration of engine oil performance will cause severe wear of cylinder barrels and pistons. If the oil is not changed in a timely manner, the above problems will basically occur, so it is still necessary to change the oil on time.

5. Failure to change engine oil on time will result in high water temperature. As mentioned above, failure to change the oil on time will result in too little oil storage, resulting in no or low oil in the lubrication system. At this time, the mechanical parts of the engine will be in a semi-dry friction or dry friction state.
Semi-dry friction or dry friction state generates a lot of heat, which causes the water temperature to rise sharply.
Water temperature is too high
If the water temperature is too high, the cylinder head and cylinder body will be deformed or even damaged. If such a failure occurs, the machine will not be far from overhaul.
1. When changing the oil, be sure to change the oil filter at the same time. Don't be greedy, save money and ignore the replacement of the oil filter. Why is this?
Because the dirt in the old machine filter will destroy the quality of the new oil, thereby reducing the service life of the new oil.
2. In autumn, remember to change the oil in winter, and in the spring, you must change the oil in summer, unless your oil is a four season universal oil.
Because the oil in winter is slightly thinner, in summer, the oil in winter will be thinner, which is not conducive to the formation of oil film and will also increase the wear of mechanical parts.
In the summer, the engine oil becomes more viscous after winter, which is not conducive to the flow of the engine oil, which will cause excessive carbon deposits in the engine cylinder, which will increase the wear of the mechanical parts.
